KORA LACES SNEAKERS
Design: This season, KORA LACES SNEAKERS set out to redefine the "summer sneaker". By deconstructing and cutting out a classic vintage indoor trainer and adding woven ballet-style laces, we've created a "kindred-spirit shoe" that goes with you from the concrete jungle all the way to the beach.
Inspiration: A perfect match for the "fabric weaving" and "city escape" imagery of June's theme, "Wave Your Fabric Summer". The criss-crossing wide laces on the upper symbolise boldly stepping into a carefree, liberating summer.
The signature deconstructed sneaker sandal silhouette features a bold, streamlined cut with wide criss-cross laces, perfectly combining the sporty strength of retro trainers with the delicate openwork of ballet shoes, and breaking away from the stuffy, monotonous feel of traditional summer sneakers.
Tapping into two of the hottest trends right now, “Blokecore” (retro sporty style) and “Urban Outdoor”, the deconstructed all-leather lines meet a vintage natural rubber sole to create a minimal high-street hybrid made for both city commutes and island escapes.
With androgynous cool, a relaxed holiday vibe and a light retro-sporty feel, they pair perfectly with denim shorts, cargo trousers, cotton-linen skirts and light sun-protective long shirts.
The streamlined shape, wider at the front and narrower at the back, and symmetrical 3D panel lines on the toe visually slim your feet. The wide cotton laces add a textile layer and let you freely adjust the fit around your arch.
Made from premium calf leather that's soft, supple and resilient. After wearing, gently wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth, or use a professional leather conditioner to keep their premium finish.
